Official YouTube app available for Android

YouTube is now available as a native app for Android smart phones. The official YouTube app has been available on the iPhone forever, but t has just recently appeared on Google’s Android marketplace. It seems odd that YouTube, a Google property, would wait so long to produce an official app. The wait has certainly worth it. The YouTube app looks much nicer, allows you to search much easier as well as see more channel information. But the biggest improvement is that now you can view videos in either landscape or portrait mode. One big draw back is that the app is only available for those Android users running 2.2. The question is, when will it become part of the standard Android build?
