Android gains market share while others drop

According to Quantcast, Apple has dropped 11% in the last year in terms of mobile market share. Indeed they report almost every type of mobile operating system lost market share in the last year except Google’s Android. Within this last year, Android gained almost 19%. Their rate seems to have increased dramatically in the last month. The summer of Android is really starting to take affect and you have to wonder how Apple’s loss of market share has to do with the antennagate. But analysts are also suggesting that the iPhone may have saturated the AT&T market, pushing Apple to consider a second carrier.
