Comparing the Verizon Droid phones

There are lots of choices when you are shopping for an Android phone from Verizon. They have branded most of their Android phones with the Droid moniker and  and comparing them is not very easy since they all seem to have the same features. Take the current crop of top Droid phones for example: the Droid, Droid Incredible, Droid X and Droid 2 are all running Android 2.2 or will get the Froyo update soon. They all  have large screens, plenty of memory and decent sized cameras. But there are differences between the phones and depending on your needs one may be better than the other. Here is a comparison of the current Droid line from Verizon

The original Droid is showing its age with the slower processor half the ram the other smart phones. However, some retailers are giving it away free with a 2 year contract and that may be enough of a reason for someone who is interested in getting an entry level smart phone. The Droid 2 is the one to get if you want a keyboard. The Droid Incredible has some of the best stats unless you want long battery life. It only rates 5.2 hours of talk time. If the battery life is a no-go for you, the best choice is the Droid X. It has all of the right specs except for the large size. This comparison shows that there is no perfect phone, but you may find one that suits your needs if you look carefully.
