BlackBerry Torch launches with OS 6.0

Today the BlackBerry Torch 9000 goes on sale at AT&T with the new OS 6.0 Rim operating System. It is definitely the best BlackBerry phone yet but there are some concerns if the Torch is the best phone to be RIM’s standard bearer. Fortunately, RIM is looking to roll out OS 6.0 to other phones. The recently announced Curve 9300 is already shipping with OS 6.0. It is good to see that RIM making good on its promise of making OS 6.0 available to the mid-range smart phone mark. It is about time as the Blackberry OS 5 operating system is getting pretty long in the tooth compared to Apple and Google’s offerings. Now RIM just needs some good BlackBerry apps.
